Commercial Recycling AB 341

Under new California State Law AB341, your business may be required to start a recycling program by July 1, 2012 if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Generate more than 4 cubic yards of trash per week, a standard bin is 3 cubic yards
  • Multi-family residential property with 5 or more units.  Multi-family property has less than 5 units you are currently exempt.

How to comply:
  • Implement a recycling program with your service provider.

Recycling is offered free of charge to all businesses and multi-family dwellings located within the County of Orange unincorporated areas.  Therefore, compliance with the mandatory commercial recycling may actually reduce your monthly trash bill.
