Routine Maintenance Underway at Closed Coyote Canyon Landfill

Closed Coyote Canyon Landfill

OC Waste & Recycling will be actively working to add soil at its closed Coyote Canyon Landfill in preparation for an upcoming maintenance project necessary to upgrade the landfill gas collection system. This is a routine safeguard for a closed landfill in order to maintain the integrity of the site.

Beginning this Monday, May 23, we will be importing soil to the site. Deliveries will be limited to weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will continue over the next six to eight months, with the actual maintenance project anticipated to begin in 2023.
