Paul Venegas, now Landfill Maintenance Crew Supervisor at Frank R. Bowerman Landfill, vividly remembers his beginnings with OCWR. "If you ever had a desire to give back to our community, but for whatever reason were unable to, this is your opportunity," he shares.
Paul's journey began as a Landfill Laborer over two decades ago, driven by a desire to contribute to his community. Over the years, he has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of OCWR's initiatives, from recycling programs to innovative composting efforts. "Here at OCWR, we work to keep our County clean while also giving back with our compost and recycling program," Paul stated.
Alejandro Garcia, a former Landfill Laborer now Landfill Equipment Operator Trainee, shares Paul's enthusiasm for the opportunities available within OCWR. "This is definitely a job you can look forward to the future because it's not a dead-end job," Alejandro affirms. With just three years under his belt, he has already seen remarkable growth and progress, a testament to the endless possibilities within OCWR.
