OC Waste & Recycling processes quality compost from greenwaste collected from residential homes, multi-family dwellings, and commercial businesses. By composting, residents help reduce greenhouse gases and conserve valuable landfill capacity. The use of compost creates healthy soils, providing nutrients for plant growth as well as improving water retention and quality.

OCWR Greeneries

OCWR currently operates two greeneries co-located at our landfills.

  • Bee Canyon Greenery (established 2020) at the Frank R. Bowerman landfill in Irvine, CA.
  • Capistrano Greenery (established 2021) at the Prima Deshecha landfill in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Note: Greeneries are NOT currently open to the public.
